I'm pretty sure that Telos bug (crash after you get Ebon Hawk back) has something to do with handmaiden fights, so to be on safe side there is an option that you could skip those.Īlso, I remember that there are lots of things you need to do with the game to get it run on Win7 and modern resolutions, but sadly I did those things back in 2013 and have used this same install (I keep "guaranteed to work" backups of all games I like as I'm finished installing them and removing things like CD protections or applying patches for modern systems, then I can just copy them to my SSD when I want to play) since then, so I have forgotten what I did.
You can use quicksaves and autosaves with no problems (this game doesn't suffer from issues that quicksaves aren't completely overwritten like in Gamebryo games), but you shouldn't rely on them. However, earlier saves should be fine if I remember correctly and this is why you should always save on new slot when you have made progress. All weapons there have been replaced by a selection of Peragus-specific items (Mining Laser, Advanced Mining Laser, and the restored Vibrocutter and Guidon Beacon) Peragus items have had their stats unified across all areas. That bug which causes savegame corruption when leaving Telos is fairly common and it has happened me several times. It is no longer possible to find blasters on Peragus through random loot, what with the ban on them.
It seems to be pretty compatible for me (I'm now on Nar Shaddaa with Telos and Peragus completed, earlier I have completed whole game 2 times with TSLRCM 1.8.2 in 2013), but KOTOR2 (original version, not sure of steam one) has lots of engine strange bugs that can cause problems regardless of what mods you use.
