If your interpretation is correct, they chose confusing wording lol. I interpreted that as the author changing the subject from force powers to saber skills. So I think it’s saying that their lightsaber skills are equally as terrifying as their force powers. Well it’s taking about their force powers in the paragraph before and then says “and their lightsaber skills were equally terrifying.”
